The Energy value of foods is measured in GRAMS and not points. All over the world, it's grams and not points. The energy is provided by carbohydrates, proteins and fats. The WISER Diet Plan format is Universal. It can be used to create ANY type of diet! The program is also copyright protected and has been on file at the Federal Copyright office, Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. since 1990! No other person or company has been authorized to use the format ever! Though other diets may work for some people and there have been many diet books that have been written by reputable authors the fact is 2/3 of Americans are now overweight and diabetes is at an all time high. Though genetics may play a part, the foods that we eat play the biggest part of all with keeping our weight in check. You will have greater success if your food values are tracked and you won't get bored with the same foods day in and day out.

The CDC (center for disease control recommends that American adults consume no more than 2300mg. of sodium a day and no more than 300mg. of cholesterol a day. WISER stays well within these guidelines providing 20-162mg. of daily cholesterol and 1024mg-1895mg of sodium. The added BONUS is that all the foods on WISER can be exchanged!

The WISER Diet Plan does not recommend eating GMO foods if you can avoid it. What you will not get with The WISER Diet Plan

You will not get a 24 hour hotline to help you make substitutions as this is not a service that is needed as The WISER Diet Plan does not sell it's own brand of foods (yet). All foods on the diet plan are bought at the Supermarket and each food item is already broken down into it's energy units so there is no guesswork for you. Online 24 hour hotlines are designed to sell you more food and these hotlines are usually weight loss programs that sell their own brand of program foods and of course they do not want you buying a different brand at the Supermarket. If you were seriously having a medical problem would you be on a 24 hour hotline talking to a weight loss counselor or on the phone talking to your doctor?

The diet plan does not come with a food calorie counter (Nutritional database of foods). If you do not follow the plan the way it is laid out and you want to make substitutions then it would be best if you bought a dying thing of the past called a book! If you don't want to read a food label ( highly recommended that you begin to do) then it's suggested that you buy a book because...

Online Diet trackers that provide a database of foods will charge you a monthly membership fee for the use of their database (aka a book).
